Flexible Foam (Flexible Polyurethane Foam)

Flexible polyurethane foam is used as a cushioning layer in a wide range of consumer and commercial products, including bedding, furniture, automotive upholstery, carpet underlay, and packaging.

Rigid Foam (Rigid Polyurethane Foam)

Rigid polyurethane foams create one of the world’s most popular, energy-efficient, and versatile insulation materials. They significantly reduce energy costs and make commercial and residential buildings more efficient and comfortable. In some countries, heating and cooling account for about 55% of the energy consumed in an average home and can be considered the largest energy expense for most households. To maintain a uniform temperature and reduce noise levels in homes and commercial properties, builders use various types of rigid polyurethane foam. These foams can be used as insulation for roofs and walls, for insulating windows and doors, and as air-barrier sealants.

Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers

The use of polyurethanes in the coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers (CASE) market offers a wide range of applications. Polyurethane coatings can improve a product’s appearance and extend its lifespan. Polyurethane adhesives provide very strong bonding benefits, while polyurethane sealants create more precise sealing. Polyurethane elastomers can be molded into almost any shape; they are lighter than metal, offer excellent compression resistance and rebound, and can withstand many environmental conditions. autorenew thumb_up thumb_down

Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU)

Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) offers many combinations of physical properties and processing applications. This material is highly elastic, flexible, and resistant to abrasion, impact, and weather conditions. TPUs can be colored or manufactured in a wide variety of ways, and using them can increase the overall durability of a product. TPU is a thermoplastic elastomer. It is elastic and also melt-processable. In addition, it can be processed with extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and compression molding equipment. It can also be produced by vacuum forming or solution coating, making it very suitable for different manufacturing methods. TPU can provide remarkable combinations of physical properties, making it a highly versatile material suitable for dozens of applications such as construction, automotive, and footwear industries. autorenew thumb_up thumb_down mini arrow_drop_down

Reaction Injection Molding (RIM)

Car bumpers, panels for electrical enclosures, and housings for computer and telecommunications equipment are some of the parts made with polyurethanes using the Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) process. In addition to high strength and low weight, RIM polyurethane parts can exhibit heat resistance, thermal insulation, dimensional stability, and a high level of dynamic properties. Automotive, construction, household appliances, furniture, and sports and recreational goods are just some of the markets and applications that use RIM technology. autorenew thumb_up thumb_down mini arrow_drop_down

Adhesives (Binders)

Polyurethane binders are used to bond various particles and fibers together. Their main areas of use are in the production of wood panels, rubber or elastomeric flooring surfaces, and sand casting for the foundry industry. The largest volume of polyurethane binder use is in the production of oriented strand board (OSB). These wood panels are used in structural sheathing, flooring, prefabricated houses, joists and load-bearing beams, and workshop panels. In the production of recycled carpet underlays, polyurethane binders are used to bond waste foam pieces together, which are often flexible polyurethane foams

دیسپرسیون‌های پلی‌اورتان پایه آبی‌ها (PUDs)

Waterborne polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) are coatings and adhesives that use water as the primary solvent. With increasing federal regulations on the levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) that can be released into the atmosphere, PUDs are being used in more industrial and commercial applications.
